L’Office des personnes handicapées du Québec is a government agency that helps increase the social participation of people with disabilities.

The Office performs a unique combination of functions such as:

  • Carrying out assessments and research on the social participation of persons with disabilities in Québec, resulting in recommendations based on the analysis of reliable data;
  • Advising government, ministries, public and private bodies, and municipalities on any public initiative that may have an impact on the social participation of people with disabilities;
  • Consulting partners and collaborating with relevant organizations in seeking  effective and applicable solutions to reduce barriers to the social participation of people with disabilities;
  • Providing direct services to people with disabilities, their families and loved ones.
