Seven Winning Teams Selected for the “Inclusive Society – 13th Edition (Winter 2026)” Competition

Inclusive Society is proud to announce its support for seven innovative and collaborative projects, each receiving $35,000 in funding. These Intersectoral Participatory Research projects aim to generate meaningful change in the lives of people living with disabilities and contribute to the development of a more inclusive society.

Winning Projects

The selected teams stand out for their commitment to co-developing innovative solutions that address a range of issues related to inclusion, social participation, and accessibility.

  1. Measuring and Enhancing the Multi-Perspective Value of a Support Program for Dyads: Individuals Living with Aphasia and Their Loved Ones
    Develop evaluation tools to better document the outcomes of the SAPPA program and support its continuous improvement for the benefit of individuals living with aphasia and their loved ones.
  2. Validation and Progressive Province-Wide Rollout of the “Inter’Actif Plus” Toolkit for the Inclusion of Individuals Aging with Disabilities in Sports and Recreation Activities
    Equip sports and recreation organizations across Québec with tools to promote the inclusive participation of people aging with disabilities.
  3. Promoting School Inclusion Through an Interactive Autism Workshop
    Raise awareness among secondary school students about autism through a workshop co-developed with autistic youth and grounded in scientific knowledge.
  4. From Rehabilitation to Community: The Dual Purpose of an Adapted Climbing Activity by and for Youth with Mobility Disabilities
    Design an adapted climbing activity that supports both therapeutic goals and the social participation of youth with mobility disabilities.
  5. Promoting Respect for the Intimate and Personal Lives of Adults with Disabilities in Alternative Housing Settings
    Co-develop strategies to better recognize and support the rights, needs, and self-determination of residents regarding their intimate and personal lives.
  6. Cycling Without Age: A Participatory Case Study to Support the Implementation and Transfer of a Social Innovation in Care Settings
    Document the success factors of the Cycling Without Age program to facilitate its implementation and expansion in new settings.
  7. Inclusive Theatre: FALC on Stage 2.0
    Create accessible tools that promote an inclusive theatre experience for neurodivergent individuals and support their adoption within cultural organizations.

Tangible Benefits for a More Inclusive Society

This year’s funded projects address a wide range of issues, including school inclusion, access to sports and recreation, aging with a disability, social participation, innovation in care settings, and access to culture. Together, they will help develop, test, and share practices that foster greater inclusion of people living with disabilities across different areas of community life.
