Year 2023
The Mirella and Lino Saputo Foundation and the Azrieli Foundation support, in addition to the operation of the Société Inclusive organization, a program that provides annual support for participatory and cross-sectoral research projects aimed at the social inclusion of people with disabilities.
In 2023, one of these projects was funded with support from the Fonds de recherche Inclusion sociale (FRIS) and the Réseau provincial de recherche en adaptation-réadaptation (REPAR).
In 2023, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) partially funded the “Participatory research BY/FOR/ WITH marginalized groups” symposium.
Other organizations made contributions, including Cirris (Centre interdisciplinaire de recherche en réadaptation et intégration sociale), REPAR (Réseau provincial de recherche en adaptation-réadaptation) and the four members of the organizing committee: Société Inclusive, the Centre de recherche et d’expertise en gérontologie sociale (CREGÉS), the Institut universitaire en déficience intellectuelle et en trouble du spectre de l’autisme and Exeko.
Various government departments helped Société Inclusive to develop scientific popularization tools, such as the humoristic series on participatory research produced by Jayman, or the graphic facilitations for presentations at the “Participatory research BY/FOR/WITH marginalized groups” symposium, which was jointly organized by Société Inclusive, the Centre de recherche et d’expertise en gérontologie sociale (CREGÉS), the Institut universitaire en déficience intellectuelle et en trouble du spectre de l’autisme and Exeko, and aimed to share approaches developed to conduct participatory research with marginalized groups in Quebec.
