Shikha Saxena

Dr. Shikha Saxena obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from India. She then moved to Canada to pursue her PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences at McGill University under the supervision of Dr. Isabelle Gagnon and Dr. Annette Majnemer. She has now joined the Healthy Active Living Lab as a post-doctoral fellow with Dr. Patricia Longmuir and Dr. Keiko-Shikako Thomas. Her main research interests are to improve physical functioning in children with disabilities by using a combination of clinical and knowledge translation approaches. Her current project aims at exploring the perspectives of health and community professionals towards using physical literacy programs for children with disabilities.
